The philosophy of naturopathy

The naturopathic philosophy represents not just a mere foundation for healing but encompasses a complete method of living. Its sphere lies in the field of complementary healing, the name implying its symbiotic nature with the lines of orthodox medicine. The stark difference lies in the preoccupation of holism. Holism refers to the harmonious merging of the mind, body and spirit as a single identity we define as the human being. Keeping this precept in mind, it is apparent that good health shall not occur by focusing on an individual segment, but from the radiation of balance between these three areas. Primarily, a vital force of energy is described to run deep within every living being. While most ideologies are derived and integrated from ancient wisdom such as Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, naturopathy finds its own pedestal by focusing on homeopathy, herbal nutrition and a much greater alignment to mainstream medicine. The remedies revolve around theories which addresses cause instead of symptoms, enhance the vital force, stimulating liver function for detoxification and improving toxin elimination via urine, sweat and exhaled air. All this is done without harming the patient in any way.
